MARY NAGLE
Intravenous Therapies

INTRODUCTIONS, PLEASE!

Mary is a registered nurse with a B.A. degree from Eastern Illinois University and has worked with Dr. Edelberg for four years. She is a member of the Wholistic Nurses Association as well as the American Association of Office Nurses. Mary integrates meditation, Tai Chi, and Qigong into her daily routine.

WHEN WILL I SEE HER?

At the end of your visit with Dr. Edelberg, Mary will review your individualized treatment program.

Mary will assist you when a specialist is needed, your prescriptions need to be refilled, and with your lab tests.

Mary supervises the administration of any physician prescribed intravenous therapy.

WHAT INTRAVENOUS THERAPIES ARE AVAILABLE?

The most well known therapy, the "Meyer’s Cocktail" has been used by nutritional physicians for decades. It provides high amounts of vitamins and minerals and is administered over about twenty minutes. A "Meyer’s" is frequently prescribed for patients experiencing several acute and chronic conditions, including colds, flu, asthma, migraine, and chronic fatigue.

Chelation therapy is the intravenous administration of EDTA (ethylene diamine tetra-acetic acid) along with nutrients. The two general areas in which chelation has been useful are metal toxicity and cardiovascular disease with atherosclerosis. Chelation therapy also improves metabolic and circulatory function.

HOW DO I KNOW IF I NEED OR CAN BENEFIT FROM ANY INTRAVENOUS THERAPIES?
Prior to any intravenous therapy, you would meet with Dr. Edelberg for a physical exam and review of personal and family history. He would then determine if you had a condition that might benefit from one of the therapies.

Chelation therapy is only really effective when employed as part of a comprehensive, individualized program which includes dietary and lifestyle changes, nutritional supplementation, exercise, stress reduction, and necessary medications.
We are happy to provide additional information or to help schedule appointments.
